It all began in November 2015 when I started at Insta Signs Plus as a Sales and Marketing Coordinator. The world of signs wasn't exactly what my Sports Management degree had me expecting, but it turned out to be a great fit! I climbed the ladder a bit, becoming Operation Manager in 2018 and then General Manager in 2020. Finally, in July 2023, I took the plunge and bought the entire business – now I'm the proud Owner/President of Insta Signs Plus of Delaware!
Before all that, I was a New Jersey kid. Grew up in Franklinville, and graduated from Delsea Regional High School in 2006. Sports were always a big deal for me, so I went to Salem Community College for a couple of years to get an Associate's Degree in Sports Management. Then it was on to Neumann University, where I met my amazing wife Lindsey (we got married in 2017!). I graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor’s in Sports Management, and Lindsey in 2012 with a Bachelor’s/Master’s in Special Education. Now we live in West Deptford, NJ with our daughter Kenzie and our dog Miles.
Baseball was my life back in the day – started playing when I was just 5 and kept it going all through college. These days, my hobbies are a little different – golf, fishing, and spending as much time as possible with my family.
Shawn Kirkpatrick
General Manager
I come to Insta Signs Plus with experience in a wide variety of industries, from graphic design to retail merchandising and window dressing, to custom framing and woodworking. After college, I also owned and operated my own photography business for 8 years, and bring the experience of a being a first-time new business owner to my position here. Throughout my time in different fields, I have always carried a strong focus on exceptional customer service, and a true sense of caring for the people working with and for me. I am excited to be in the roll of General Manager, and around so many familiar faces, both coworkers and customers.
I have degrees in photography from both Delaware Tech, and Wilmington University, where I worked next to and learned from highly skilled and demanding, working professionals. In my spare time now, I enjoy experimenting with macro photography and vintage photographic printing processes. I also enjoy a calm night at a local brewery, and am even happier when they have a hockey game on. GO FLYERS! My time as a visual manager at Macy’s introduced me to a beautiful woman who would go on to become my wife. Carmelita and I were married in 2022 after having to push plans back due to the pandemic. When I’m not working you can usually find me wherever she is!
David Mitchell
Production Manager
My journey at Insta Signs Plus began in 1997 when I started out working in hand-painted signage. As the company flourished and the industry evolved, we embraced innovative techniques like using printed vinyl in our sign fabrication, as well as fully custom-carved signs, and so much more. For 15 years, I collaborated closely with the sign shop team, gaining valuable experience. As Insta Signs Plus continued to grow, I was thrilled to take on the challenge of Production Manager.
Throughout my time here, I've developed a deep understanding of the sign industry and a strong rapport with my colleagues. I'm always happy to lend a hand or share my knowledge to support both the team and the company's continued success.
Alvin Veniegas
Design Manager
For over 20 years, graphic design has been my passion. As the Design Manager of Insta Signs Plus, I'm driven by quality and creating a collaborative, dedicated team environment. Exceptional customer service is key to me – we deliver high-quality products that consistently exceed expectations.
But family comes first! When the workday's over, I'm a devoted family man. Spending quality time with my wife, our two kids, and our amazing grandchild is my greatest joy. They're my endless source of support and happiness.
Felicia McLaren
Administrative Assistant
I joined Insta Signs Plus of Delaware, Inc. with 16 years of experience in the sign industry, and I am looking forward to using my background to enhance and support this company in the best way I can. I have vast knowledge and experience in dealing with customers and take pride in my communication skills in trying to relay customers’ ideas to help create their desired results. I enjoy being as efficient and diligent as possible while always maintaining a positive, friendly, and willing attitude.
I live in Pennsville, New Jersey, with my husband of 25 years. I look forward to spending time with my children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren as often as possible.
Justin Hahn
Sales Coordinator
After graduating from Immaculata University I tried my hand in the corporate world, taking on a role at a large retail bank. While I valued my time working in the corporate world, I am eager to learn more about the client side of the business relationship. I previously worked with Insta Signs Plus in 2021 and 2023 during the summer between my college semesters. During that time, I gained valuable experience in all aspects of the business from start to finished product. I am now happily back for my third stint with Insta Signs Plus as a Sales Coordinator. I am excited to help the business grow while striving for the highest level of excellence in all areas.
As for my personal life, sports have been a mainstay ever since I was old enough to throw a ball. I graduated from West Deptford High School in 2019 while playing baseball and soccer. I went on to play Division 3 soccer for Immaculata University and graduated with a degree in Finance. I am a dedicated Philadelphia sports fan supporting all five Philly teams (including the Philadelphia Union). Some other things I enjoy in my free time include traveling, golfing, and spending time with family.
